The new eve PASTORAL FORMATION Programme
This programme equips parishes to better understand women’s experiences, strengthen pastoral accompaniment, and create opportunities for women to be heard within the life of the Church.
By bringing together lived experience research, pastoral formation, and structured listening, the programme provides a practical framework for cultivating the synodal principles of listening, participation, accompaniment, and communal discernment within parish life.
The Programme consists of:
AN online course
This is made of 8 modules covering the three parts of the programme: Understanding Women’s Lived Experiences, Accompanying Women in Parish Life & Listening, Discernment, and Parish Reflection. The modules come in both video & audio formats
A PDF workbook for pastors
This helps pastors to engage with the content of the programme. It also contains prompts, session guidelines and resources to support them to facilitate the 3rd part of the programme with women in group sessions.
A PDF REFLECTION WORKBOOK for WOMEN
This contains prompts for self-reflection and note-taking as well as information that would help the participant to reflect on, make sense of and share their lived experience with the session facilitators.

ADDITIONAL training opportunities
Dr Bridget Alabi offers formation sessions for pastors and group leaders. These can be tailored to the needs of your community to help them understanding women’s lived experience of motherhood more deeply.
In the spirit of the Synod on Synodality, these sessions aim not only to teach, but to help participants to listen, reflect, and respond more attentively to the realities women are living. Whether for a retreat, workshop, or parish event, they provide practical insight that can strengthen both personal formation and pastoral practice.
