Grounded in Lived Experience

Through her interdisciplinary expertise in theology, maternal health, women’s lived experience research, and qualitative methodology, Bridget Alabi offers specialist research consultancy services to dioceses, ministries, charities, healthcare organisations, educational institutions, and women-focused initiatives seeking deeper insight into the realities of women’s lives, fertility, motherhood, faith, and formation.

At the heart of Bridget’s work is The New Eve Method® — a holistic and research-informed framework developed through years of academic research, theological reflection, fertility and maternal practice, and direct work with women.

The method integrates lived experience research, Practical Theology, fertility awareness and maternal wellbeing to better understand how women experience and make sense of their lives.

With a background in Health Geography, Bridget brings an interdisciplinary understanding of the social, relational, cultural, and environmental factors that shape women’s health and wellbeing. Her doctoral research further deepened this work through an exploration of women’s lived experiences of fertility and motherhood within the Catholic context.

Using Qualitative Research Methodologies

A key strength of Bridget’s work is her expertise in Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), a qualitative research methodology focused on understanding how individuals interpret and make sense of significant lived experiences. This approach allows organisations to move beyond statistics and assumptions in order to engage more deeply with the realities, tensions, needs, and experiences present within the communities they serve.

Alongside her academic research, Bridget has spent several years working directly with women through fertility education, maternal formation, consultation, and accompaniment. This combination of research expertise and practical experience enables her to carry out work that is both academically rigorous and deeply attentive to the lived realities of women’s lives.

Understanding Women's Experiences

Her consultancy work is particularly valuable for organisations seeking to better understand women’s experiences in areas such as:

• Fertility and natural family planning
• Pregnancy, motherhood, and maternal wellbeing
• Faith formation and women’s spirituality
• Catholic pastoral care and women’s ministry
• Identity, embodiment, and feminine formation
• Women’s health experiences and support systems
• Family life, vocation, and relational formation

Translating research insights into clear, meaningful, and implementable strategies

Bridget’s work bridges research, formation, and practical application. Rather than producing reports that remain theoretical, her consultancy approach helps organisations translate research insights into clear, meaningful, and implementable strategies that genuinely support women, families, and communities.

Whether supporting diocesan initiatives, developing women-centred programmes, evaluating existing services, or helping organisations build more informed and compassionate approaches to women’s formation and care, Bridget brings together academic depth, theological insight, and lived engagement to deliver research that leads to meaningful transformation through The New Eve Method®.
